A day in my life

A normal day in my life you ask? Well here it is...

First of all I wake up and get ready. Living at Campus on Harvard University is pretty awesome and the view from my room is even better. If you wake up really early you can look out the window you can see how the University comes to life under the bright sunlight. It's amazing. I would post a picture but it feels like ruining it and I guess you got to come here to see it for yourself. Anyways, I wake up, eat a healthy breakfast by the window, brush my teeth and take a shower and put something on from my wardrobe (my leatherjacket included). Then I pack the last thing into my bag and go to whatever class I have. Pretty standard morning.

Before I walk out the door I usually put on a pair of sneakers or other shoes. I love all of my shoes and second to my leatherjacket it's my favorite items in my wardrobe. And why these shoes? Because they are just like everything else in my wardrobe they are very comfortable and don't look too bad. Here's one of many pairs.

The first picture isn't a small part of what we call the Harvard University. This is one of many entrances but I wanted to give you an idea of what the buildings look like. Harvard is a huge collage and a has an enormous campus and I love it. The second picture is of the Harvard Yards. This is part of what you can see from my the window in my room at campus.

After finishing all the lessons of the day, I usually meet up with my friends. We either go to the coffeehouse, that I talked about in earlier posts, or sit on the green gras of the Harvard Yards where we hang out and often bring our homework. Later on I go home and try to relax a little by either dancing or playing instruments. But what do I do next?

It's something that's very important to me just like dance and music, I do love a great... what? Look at the picture below and try and figure out what this important thing is?

And the riddle was, good. This post was great. My Fancy Fakebook is awesome. But my life? It's Perfect.

Interview - with myself?!

Well, I don't know if you can call this an interview but it's me answering a few random and maybe interesting questions that I think you may have, or not. Let's get started with question number one.

1. What languages do you speak?
Answer: I speak a few different languages. Swedish and english is given (because I live in US and I was born and raised in Sweden). I also speak tigrinya which is my mother tongue and in school I use to study spanish as a fourth languish.

2. Have you ever been pulled up by a cop?
Answer: No, I recently got my drivers licens and I've been very careful. So, no not yet.

3. What cheers you up?
Answer: A good song, great company and laughter. No other words are needed to describe happiness.

4. Are you still learning who you are?
Answer: I'm one of those people who don't really think that a person ever get to know themselves fully. Many of us underestimate how much we can do and what we can accomplish and some overestimate it. I don't think that you will surprise yourself a lot through life and somehow I think that's awesome.

5. Have you ever been in a food fight?
Answer: No, I haven't but I'd love to, as long as the food wasn't soup.

6. If you could retire tomorrow, would you do it?
Answer: Well first of all retiring would require a job, which I don't have. If I had on I wouldn't because the thought of having nothing to do all day long, is exhausting. I mean now I go to school and I have homework, music and dance. I also have my friends and knowing that friends, music and dance is pretty much it wouldn't fill my day and I'd be pretty board. I mean, I have a hard time getting trough summer break.

7. If you could choose a method of dying, what would it be?
Answer: I know that like the most of people, I'm not in love with the idea of dying but I also hate the thought of dying painful and slow. I know for sure I don't want to drown or burn to death. I also know that I don't want to die of old age. That would mean that I couldn't take care of myself so I'd rather die when I still am capable of taking care of myself. So natural death, but not painful, slow, out of old age or drowning and fire.

Okay, so that's the lucky seven questions. Hope that's good enough, and I have to say that even though the answers aren't perfect, my life it is

Survey - music genre

I talked about music and how much it matters to me a lot but I listen to many different genres. Rock, pop, r&b and indie you name it but I'd like to know what's your favorite genre. You can vote in the survey! :)

Just like music is perfect my life, it is!

Freaky Fashion

I have never liked all this talk about what's the latest thing. What's in now is out next week and everything's got to be so dam expensive. Usually I'm up to speed but I don't bother looking up what's latest items. It takes time and effort that I don't have so I'd like to think that I can do what ever I want to and that it catches on instead. And even though I feel this way about the "latest items" I'm gonna make an effort and try and describe how I live my life.

So first of all music, as I said is my life. Together with food, water, oxygen and other things that are necessary music keeps me alive.  I listen to all kinds of generas. Almost everything except rock and reggae and I think the music that is "hot" today is pop and house. Everything that is played on the radio.

And me joking around about how much I need music may be funny but food is actually necessary to keep everyone alive. And like most things the latest items are always expensive. Why? Because people want them so bad I'd guess. Me on the other hand like all kinds of food as long as it tastes good and isn't to greasy, or fabricated. I love pasta, especially with tomato sauce, it's one of my favorite dishes. And snacks? Everything is good but chips and candy is on the top of my list. I also love fruits and there's nothing better than: grapes, pineapple and mandarins. La, la love them.

Well too my look then. I usually put on jeans and t-shirt. What I love the most in my wardrobe is my leatherjacket. I can were it during all seasons and it's a standard item for me. If it's cold outside I usually put a sweater or a hoodie underneath. When I'm at home I wear my sweatpants and a oversized shirt, probably not the prettiest of looks but it's comfortable and for me it's perfect.

And just like my look is perfect for me so is my life!

A childhood memory

So I have this childhood memory about a friend. Her name was Ava and she was over at my house for a playdate. We had lot's of fun playing with my new toys and the clock was ticking. At 16:00 her mother came over to pick her up. We were 6 or 7 years old can't remember exactly how old we were and Ava was about to go down the stairs and she fell down. She screamed and I didn't really catch what was happening but she looked so funny falling down. I started laughing (I'm not a bad friend, it was so funny, you should have seen her) but when I heard her cry I immediately stopped, things were getting serious.

The next day we visited her at the hospital and sat in a wheelchair. Fortunately she had only broken a leg. I haven't seen Ava in a long time but I'll always remember her.

And I will also remember that even back then, my life? It was perfect and it still is.

Friends and Free Time

So I started to talk about this in my other post. I've got a few closer friends. First of we've got, who's also my roommate. She's is really sweet, got brown hair, pale skin and during the summers her face is covered in freckles. She's really pretty and her looks match her personality. She's always in a good mood, except for when someone tries to tell her what to do but that doesn't happened often. Everybody knows that Liv, she does it her own way.

We hang out with our other friends called: Liam, Mia and Hunter. They are all really amazing people and they mean the wold to me. We usually, as I said once before, hang out in the coffeehouse. The coffeehouse is really cozy and they serve amazing desserts. Funny thing is that I don't like coffee or tea but I'll take a hot chocolate and brownie any day of the week. When we're at the coffeehouse we study, if we've got any upcoming exams and otherwise it's just an opportunity to hang out, talk and have fun.

If you can't find us in the coffeehouse sometimes we like to walk around on campus. When the weather is good we can walk around for hours and sometimes we just sitt down on one of the lawns.

So my friends do take up a lot of my spare time and I love hanging out with them but when I'm not I usually sit in my room and read books or watch movies and series. It's just one amazing way to realax and my life wouldn't be complete without my books and my movies. I've got a full bookshelf that goes from the floor all the way up to the sealing. I'm thing about putting up another one and to start filling that up with new books, after all the smell of books is just lovely.

Books and movies are amazing but music is everything. I just... there's no way...  I'm speechless and that doesn't happen often. I can't even begin to try and describe the roll music has in my life. I love to sing and play both the piano and guitar. Dancing is a tool that helps the music to tell a story. Just letting go and feel the music trough your whole body and let it lead the way. It's the most amazing feeling in the world.

And for living in a world that's not perfect, I can without any doubt say that my life? It is!

Me and My Family

Hi, my name is Emily Ward and I'm 18 years old. I have got black hair, brown eyes and I'm about 5 feet tall. I share a room with a girl called Liv (short for Olivia) on campus at Harvard University, in Cambridge Massachusetts, USA. I love it here. I have got two brothers but they live in Sweden together with our parents, far away from here. Both of them are younger than me, one of them is sixteen and the other ten. I miss them sometimes but during the holidays when I'm not busy being a collage freshmen I go back home and visit.

In my spare time I like to play instruments. I master both the guitar, piano and my voice isn't too bad. I also like to dance and I've been doing that for as long as I can remember. When I'm not busy doing any of those things I usually spend time with my friends. Liv, my roommate is one of the sweeties persons I know. She's about as tall as me, a little bit shorter but always wearing heels makes her look taller than me. We usually spend time in a coffeehouse, with a few of our other friends, we are regulars there. Talking, laughing, living life like we're supposed to.

I'm a big fan of movies, series and books. I love reading and watching movies. It gives me the chans to see things from different perspectives, it's like living someone else's life. It's cool but I don't really need too because...

My life? It's perfect!
